WORSHIP

THE WORSHIP TEAM is all about worshipping God in ways that lift us up in grace and forgiveness. The Worship Team is devoted to making the worship service a living and breathing testament of Jesus Christ through word, praise, and song. In his letter to the Hebrews, the Apostle Paul recognized the importance of approaching God in a reverent manner that will make worship a richer experience. The Worship Team strives to make that experience personal and uplifting.

Our goal is to enhance your worship experience. We strive to make our regular Sunday morning worship fulfilling for all who attend. We also take great pride in bringing to you several special worship services and presentations throughout the year.

Our hope is that you will join us on Sunday or for one of our special services that are always open to everyone. When you enter our sanctuary you will be greeted by our warm and friendly members. Pick up a bulletin about the service as well as all of the happenings of our church. If you have children, you may pick up a canvas bag in the back of the church to make the worship experience a positive one for your little ones.

During the course of the service, you’ll be able to meet those around you as we share the peace and love of Jesus Christ. Your children may remain with you in worship or attend Children’s Sunday School Classes after the children’s message.  There is also an adult staffed nursery available for children ages four and younger.

At the conclusion of the service, you may greet the pastor and proceed to our Fellowship Hall to enjoy a time of food and fellowship with other members of the First Presbyterian Church.

The Worship team is responsible for working with the pastor to coordinate all things relative to worship including such tasks as working with our music ministry, scheduling acolytes, greeters, communion servers, A-V operators, ushers, pulpit supply with the pastor is on vacation, and anything else needed relative to special worship services.

In addition to regular Sunday morning worship services, the worship team also plans many special worship services such as Ash Wednesday, Wednesday evening Lenten Worship Services, Last Supper Presentation, Good Friday Service, Easter Service, Boy Scout Sunday, Memorial Day Service, Graduation Sunday, Montreat Sunday, Independence Day Service, Youth Sundays (Fifth Sunday of Month), Joint Worship Services with New Hope Lutheran Church (each 5th Sunday of a month), All Saints Day, Advent Season, Live Nativity Scene, Christmas Caroling, Christmas Cantata, Christmas Eve Candlelight Service, and  Christmas Service.
