Guidelines for Cancellation of Church Services and Committee Meetings due to Inclement Weather

Sunday Morning Service Cancellation

Sunday Morning Church Service will be cancelled when a Level 2 or Level 3 alert for White County is called between 8 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. Sunday. In that case notification of our closing will be broadcast on WMRS and will be available at www.wmrsradio.com under “cancellations” or by calling 1-800-261-7623. We will also post it on our Facebook page. Closing information will appear on TV stations, WLFI TV 18, www.wlfi.com and WTHR TV 13, www.wthr.com.  Click on “Weather,” then on “Closings and Delays.” We will also do a One Call Now Alert to all members. 

Church Committee Meetings Cancellation

The committee Team Leader will determine whether the meeting will be cancelled. They are to be conservative in making their decision. Meetings can always be rescheduled or held on the following Sunday after worship service.

Appears to be snowing and ice – cancel.
Appears to be cleaned up prior to meeting – Committee Leader to decide.

 
Church Office Closing

If Twin Lakes School Corporation is on a two-hour delay, staff should try to get to the office when they can. They should call the office and leave a message about their intended arrival. If the Twin Lakes School Corporation is closed, staff should call if they’re going to be late or cannot make it in at all. Staff should not take unnecessary risks in getting to the Church. We ask you to use your judgment in making this decision.
