All that we have has been provided by our Lord and it is right that we give back a part of that.  We give our time, talent and treasures to further God's mission here on earth.

The Presbyterian Church is directed by a document which is called the Book of Order.  This document has been developed to ensure that we conduct outselves according to the Word of God.  The following is what our Book or Order says about giving.

“Giving has always been a mark of Christian commitment and discipleship. The ways in which a believer uses God’s gifts of material goods, personal abilities, and time should reflect a faithful response to God’s self-giving in Jesus Christ and Christ’s call to minister to and share with others in the world. Tithing is a primary expression of the Christian discipline of stewardship.”

“Those who follow the discipline of Christian stewardship will find themselves called to lives of simplicity, generosity, honesty, hospitality, compassion, receptivity, and concern for the earth and God’s creatures.”

“The Christian life is an offering of one’s self to God. In worship the people are presented with the costly self-offering of Jesus Christ, are claimed and set free by him, and are led to respond by offering to him their lives, their particular gifts and abilities, and their material goods.”

TIME -- TALENT -- TREASURE

Our church is completely funded by the tithes and offerings given by our members and our guests.  Obviously the sum of that giving determines our budget and spending.  We can always do more and we encourage all to prayerfully consider their level of giving.

We also give our time and talents to God's church by performing work within and without the church on any one or more of our ministry teams or ministry tasks.  We can always use more time and talent so please don't be shy in offering yours.
