MUSIC / CHOIR

The Monticello First Presbyterian Church is blessed with a talented and dedicated music ministry.  The choir blesses us with music every Sunday morning during worship from September through May.  They also perform a beautiful Christmas Cantata during advent.  During the summer months various members of the choir as well as musicians from the community provide special music for our worship service. 

During many Sunday worship services special music is provided by choir members, community members, and our youth during the offertory.  The music is a blend of traditional hymns and contemporary praise music.  The choir also participates in our yearly Christmas caroling ministry where shut-ins and local nursing homes are visited. 

When requested the choir also sings for funeral services at the passing of our congregational members or family.  Occasionally the choir will join in local church gatherings and celebrations, such as, the National Day of Prayer, and we come together with our community in song and praise.
