Lent begins with our traditional Ash Wednesday Service. This service will include ashes to symbolize our repentance and Holy Communion which gives us God's grace and forgiveness. Teh theme of the service is Lenten Training. Paul writes to Timothy, "Train yourselff to be godly." We will begin Lenten training with this service and then provide sermons on Sunday and Wednesday evening to help you train spiritually until we come to Holy Week and the celebration of Easter. |

Wednesday Evening Lenten Series |
During Lent, we will focus in depth on how to study the bible. Many people do not open the bible, as they do not feel knowledgeable in trying to apply God's Word to their life. The sessions will teach practical tools for the bible study. They will also help you follow sermons more effectively. The five week series will be held during our worship service on Wednesday evening during Lent. The services will be for 30 minutes and will follow a pot-luck dinner. Dinner will be served at 5:45 and the service begins at 6:30. The structure will allow that if you miss one session you will still learn plenty from the other sessions. |
