| During Pastor Tom’s absence, the following person will be in the Pulpit: 1/1/12 Pastor Sally Gilbert (Communion Sunday) As I was finishing up the Annual Report for the Spiritual Life Ministry Team, I reflected on what this team has done for our Church this year. I hope everyone reads about their accomplishments. I have been so honored to serve as their team leader this year. I invite anyone who would like to work with some very special dedicated people in providing and preparing the Worship Services to take the time and attend one of our meetings. I look forward to working as a team member on future Worship Services with the team and our new team leader. Completing my 6th year on Session I must confess that I enjoyed working with all who have served as Elders of Session. A lot has happened over those 6 years when I served on Session. For those who I have served with over those 6 years, I have a deep respect for each of them. They have allowed me to see first hand what a special church and special church family we are. Even though this is my last year on Session and my last year as the team leader of the Spiritual Life Ministry Team, I will always continue to serve my Church. I will also continue to serve as a member of the Spiritual Life Ministry Team. If I am ever asked to serve on Session again, my answer would be, “when do I start!” What would be your answer? | During the Second Sunday Dinner the team set up a special Memorial Service Presentation in honor of those Americans who lost their lives on that day. The congregation held a special prayer and observed a moment of silence in their honor. |
